Ira S. Nigen Summer Internship The Carefree Foundation is offering the opportunity to work as an intern in the Washington, DC area. The individual selected will have the opportunity to work as a project assistant in all areas of the foundation. Some of the duties will include:
Applicants should have a strong interest in international medicine or public health. No prior experience is necessary though past experience will be considered in picking a candidate. Candidates must be highly motivated, attentive to detail, and have excellent communication and teamwork skills. Length of internship: 8+ weeks Salary: $700/month Hours: Generally flexible (can work from home and need not live in the Washington, D.C. area) but interns are expected to work an average of 40 hours per week. This will include a mandatory meeting with the Executive Director and/or a member of the board of directors 3-4 times/week and occasional relevant committee meetings in the evenings (rarely on weekends).
